To Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria, and the Ends of the Earth

Word of Life Ministries

Welcome to the official webpage of First Baptist Church of Strongsville Garbc! We are excited to share with you our mission to Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria, and the Ends of the Earth. As a community-driven church, we strive to spread our faith and beliefs far and wide. Join us on this incredible journey as we make a difference in the lives of individuals and communities.

Our Mission

At First Baptist Church of Strongsville Garbc, we are committed to following the example set by Jesus Christ. Our mission is inspired by the Great Commission, where Jesus commanded his disciples to go and make disciples of all nations. This is our ultimate goal, and we dedicate ourselves to fulfilling it by reaching out to Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria, and the Ends of the Earth.

What Does it Mean?

When we talk about Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria, and the Ends of the Earth, we are referring to a comprehensive approach to spreading our faith and beliefs. These represent different levels of outreach that help us cover our local community, surrounding regions, and even extend our reach globally.

Jerusalem signifies our immediate community and the people within it. We believe that impacting our local area is where true change begins. By actively engaging with our neighbors, supporting local initiatives, and providing assistance to those in need, we can create a strong foundation for faith and community.

Judea expands our focus to the wider region surrounding our church. We recognize that our reach should extend beyond our immediate vicinity. Through various outreach programs, partnerships with other organizations, and active participation in regional events, we aim to foster a sense of unity and bring our faith to a wider audience.

Samaria challenges us to step out of our comfort zones and engage with communities that may be different from our own. Just as Jesus reached out to the marginalized and those considered outsiders during his time, we strive to do the same. By actively supporting and connecting with diverse communities, we aim to promote understanding, acceptance, and love.

Ends of the Earth embodies our commitment to spreading our faith globally. Through partnerships with international organizations, volunteer programs, and missionary work, we actively contribute to the growth of faith and beliefs in different parts of the world. We believe that the message of hope and salvation should reach every corner of the globe.

How We Make a Difference

First Baptist Church of Strongsville Garbc is deeply entrenched in our community, and we are constantly looking for ways to make a positive impact. Here are some of the ways we contribute:

  • Youth Programs: We understand the importance of nurturing the faith of our youth. Through engaging programs, events, and mentorship opportunities, we strive to create a safe and inclusive space for young individuals to explore their spirituality and grow in their relationship with God.
  • Community Outreach: We actively participate in community outreach initiatives, such as food drives, clothing donations, and volunteering at local shelters. By lending a helping hand to those in need, we demonstrate the love and compassion that our faith embodies.
  • Worship Services: We hold regular worship services where our congregation gathers to praise, worship, and learn together. These services provide a place for spiritual growth, prayer, and fellowship, creating a sense of unity and belonging within our church family.
  • Discipleship Programs: We emphasize the importance of discipleship and offer programs that encourage spiritual growth, Bible study, and personal development. Through small groups, mentorship relationships, and discipleship resources, we equip individuals with the tools they need to deepen their faith.
  • Mission Trips: We organize and participate in mission trips both locally and globally. These trips allow members of our church to step outside their comfort zones, serve others selflessly, and spread the message of love, hope, and salvation.

Faith and Beliefs

As part of the Garbc denomination, our faith and beliefs are deeply rooted in the Bible. We believe in the infallibility and authority of the Holy Scripture, and it serves as the foundation for our teachings and practices. Our core beliefs include:

  1. The Trinity: We believe in one true God who exists in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We recognize and worship the distinct but unified nature of God.
  2. Salvation: We believe that salvation is possible only through faith in Jesus Christ. We are saved by grace alone, not by our own works, and this salvation is a free gift offered to all who believe.
  3. The Church: We believe that the Church is comprised of all believers and that it is the body of Christ. We value the importance of gathering together for worship, fellowship, and the mutual edification of believers.
  4. Baptism and Communion: We practice believer's baptism, symbolizing the believer's identification with the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. We also celebrate communion, remembering the sacrifice of Christ.
  5. Second Coming: We believe in the imminent return of Jesus Christ. We eagerly anticipate His glorious return and strive to live in a way that reflects our hope in His second coming.
